Hello everyone! My name is Devin Seetho.  I am a current high school student in California and I am the founder of The Climate Activist. I live with my parents, older sister, fish, and my dog. In my free time, I like playing in my rock band, practicing guitar and bass, taking pictures, going on walks, listening to music, and hanging out with my friends!

My journey with The Climate Activist ages back to when I was just a young middle-school boy. One impactful moment in my journey towards environmental awareness occurred when I stumbled upon a compelling documentary about climate change. This cinematic exploration into the intricate web of environmental issues served as a wake-up call, reshaping my perspective on the world.

The documentary vividly illustrated the far-reaching consequences of climate change, showcasing the tangible effects on ecosystems, wildlife, and human communities. From melting ice caps to rising sea levels, the film painted a stark picture of the planet's vulnerability in the face of environmental degradation.
 

My internship, where I connected with climate change professionals, deeply influenced the birth of The Climate Activist. Meeting real-life climate heroes made the environmental crisis hit home. These professionals weren't just experts; they were people with stories and a burning passion. It was personal. The collective effort needed to fight climate change became clear. That experience lit a fire in me to inspire the next generation. The Climate Activist grew from that spark, aiming to arm young minds with the know-how and passion to be the Earth's champions.

Recently, I saw a quote on ABC news that peaked my interest.

"Global emissions will need to peak by 2025 at the latest, and then steeply reduce thereafter, to prevent worsening impacts, according to the report."

This opened a new window for me. I feel responsible for the increase of Global Emissions, and I want to help others realize the "climate ticking time bomb". In order to help fight the climate crisis, I would need help from everyone.

All of these factors combined, resulted in the birth of The Climate Activist.
 

Each month, I'll be writing blogs and tips on how to create a better Earth for us all which range from making simple tweaks in your daily routine to more impactful choices that collectively make a huge difference. Because here's the secret: every small action you take adds up to a planet-saving impact. In the blogs, I'll be diving into the real challenges our wildlife faces – from climate change to habitat loss. We will also look into the importance of recycling and disposing correctly. It's time to shine a light on these issues and figure out how we can be part of the solution.

 

Why?

Because my mission is crystal clear: giving the Earth a helping hand and teaming up with you to save it from the grip of climate change. It's not about big gestures; it's about all of us making conscious choices, one step at a time. So, let's be the Earth's saviors and make this planet a better place together!
