As different types of engineers work to create complex contraptions, environmental engineers work on their own to engineer their ideas towards planet health. Today, we will be discussing the effects of environmental engineers, along with what they do.

What are Wind Turbines? Wind turbines are created by environmental engineers to convert wind energy into electricity. They use the force of the wind to spin blades, which in turn spin a generator to produce electricity. Currently, the US has over 70,000 turbines set up, and we are still adding more! For reference, in one year that could power 42 million houses in one year!

Water Treatment Environmental Engineers don't only do wind turbines, but treat water as well. They clean out water, and make sure that everyone has access to safe water. Using chemicals and filters, engineers are able to accomplish mass cleaning of water. Every year, they clean billions of gallons.

We hope that you have found this blog helpful and that you will see the importance of environmental engineers! Make sure to keep on staying safe and we will see you again soon!
