The summers have been getting hotter and hotter. Every summer, I'm sure you have heard people say "This is the hottest summer we have ever had". But if you really think about it, these summers will now be some of the coldest you will ever experience for the rest of your life. So, why are the summers getting so hot? The Industrial Revolution

The Industrial Revolution which started in the 1800s in Great Britain was the driving factor of heat increasing. The industrial revolution became the start of lots of machinery, releases of CO2 emissions and waste. Ever since those days, more and more pollution and emissions have been put into our Earth, causing the climate to change and leads to heat rising across the globe.

Our Oceans

Our oceans have been a big part of the increasing heat. The ocean actually eats up a ton of this heat, and this warms the oceans. Since 1969, The oceans have already gotten 0.67 degrees Fahrenheit hotter. This also results in more icebergs and glaciers melting, raising the ocean levels.

The ocean influences weather and climate by storing solar radiation, distributing heat and moisture around the globe, and driving weather systems.

The Rising Heat Effects EVERYONE.

There are a ton of people who can relate when I say heat affects our everyday lives. In a recent interview I conducted with Maggie Tufts of the Pedrozzi Foundation, I found out that even her personal life was affected as she would not be able to work with her students as much during her events as students were cancelling on her events that she organize due to the heat being so severe. I also interviewed Angelina Hernandez, who said her work life was also affected by heat, as she cant go on walks during breaks like she used to.

That concludes today's blog. I hope all of you learned something today, and I will see you next week for the next blog!
