In today's blog, I will be going over the importance of why we should care about climate change. We hope that you will find the information contained within this blog of use!
There Is No Planet B.
Earth is a very special planet. Out of the eight planets in our solar system, Earth is the only planet that is habitable. By saving our planet from the climate crisis, we can save our habitat. Our planet is unique, and we need to save it. By 2050, there might not even be snow anymore. Our planet can not be found anywhere else in our universe, so protecting it is very important.
So what is climate change?.
Climate change is defined as the warming of the planet, and shifting in climate as time passes. Although Climate Change appears naturally, it has been extremely sped up by human interactions with nature. This has caused a big problem, and many groups have met at places such as the UN to talk about these issues. One of these groups are the Climate Action Network, and even this website fights for a greener planet by talking about said issues.
Climate Literacy
Climate Literacy is one thing you can do to help fight the cause! By getting climate literacy, you will learn more about the Earth's Climate and communicate well about climate related subjects at lower scales. For example, groups like QUEST Science Center created internships for high schoolers who gathered groups of people to talk about climate change, and got people to become climate literate.
